The 1937-38 7w Ten was the first of this UK designed car. From 1939, the next model, not only were the 2 and 4 door saloons built in the UK, but in Australia as well. 1938-49 UK built E93A Prefect, E04A Anglia. 1939-45 Oz built E03A Prefect, 1946-48 Oz built A53A Prefect, A54A Anglia. 1949-53 UK built E493A Prefect, E494A Anglia 1949-53 Oz built A493A Prefect, A494A Anglia. 1953-59 UK and Oz built 103E Popular In 1953 replaced by the new 100E, the old shape, as the 103E Popular, continued on as a budget model until 1959. Replacing the E93A, the English E493A and the Australian A493A, got an updated look, a new grille with vertical bars and the headlights were moved into the guards, rather than on top like the E93A. The Australian version got a longer boot and a steel rather than fabric centred roof. Available in the UK as only a 4 door saloon, now all 2 door versions were Anglias.
